10 days old!

Boy the second week of life has been a busy one for me! As you'll see from the pictures I'm posting, I've been very busy growing. That's because I'm getting to be a great eater. Mom and Dad say I'm going to get so big and strong and soon I'll actually be able to fit in my newborn size clothes!

On Thursday, I took my first trip to Allstate to visit Dad at work. I pretty much slept through it all, but I do remember a bunch of people oohing and awing over me and getting passed around a lot.

Last night, my umbilical cord stump fell off. Mom and Dad were pretty excited about that because not only do they not have to look at it anymore (it's kind of ugly), but that also meant I could take my first big boy bath. Until now I've been having to take sponge baths on the kitchen counter and I was not a big fan of those. At first I seemed to like my tub bath better, but I got tired of it after a few minutes. Here's a picture of me before the novelty wore off...

Those of you who read my old blog will remember me mentioning that we were waiting on my cool rocking chair to arrive from my Aunt Jamie. Well, it got here just two days after I was born and it looks great in my nursery. Here's a picture of me trying it out for size.

You might also remember me saying on my old blog that Mom's doctor didn't even make it to the hospital in time for my delivery. Well, through a weird coincidence (that could only happen to my Yia Yia) we found out something cool about the doctor who did deliver me. Turns out she was a resident at the hospital and I was her very first baby! Mom and Dad think that is pretty cool because they know she'll always remember me being born. At the same time, however, they say they're glad they didn't know that before I was born!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Keep checkin' in for more Maxaroni and Cheese!

Welcome to My New Blog!!

Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog! I am almost one-week old now and growing and changing all the time. Don't worry, however, because my parents (well, mostly my mom) take lots of pictures of me to document my days. Here are few cute ones...

Not happy...
Lookin kind of thugged out...

Stick 'em up...

Mom and Dad are so glad to have me home and they are slowly starting to get used to my routine. My Grammie and my Aunt Jamie have both been here to help out over the last week. Mom and Dad say thanks and that they are so grateful for all your help. Here's a picture of me and Aunt Jamie on my first trip to Target and one of me hanging out with my Grammie.

We've also enjoyed seeing all the friends and family who have come to visit with me. Most everyone's favorite game to play when they hang out with me is to figure out who I look like. A lot of people think I look like my Mom. Mom and Dad think I have my Mom's eyes and my Dad's mouth and nose. Beyond that, however, I really look like a whole array of other characters. Here's a good one of me wearing my E.T. face after getting a bath.

One thing I've had to do this week is to take a daily sun bath. I had a little jaundice when I came home from the hospital so I had to do some sunning twice a day to get rid of it. I had my first check up with my pediatrician today and she said that my color looks good now, so I don't have to do sunning anymore, but here's a picture of me "taking my tan" on Friday. It's possible I'm also telling Mom to "talk to the hand."

Hope everyone enjoys my new blog. I'll try to keep it updated about once a week or so, so check back soon for more pictures and news about our family.
