Mama always answers, though. (At least the first five times)

My First Haircut

Today I got my hair cut for the very first time! Mom and Dad were nervous because they thought I would not like getting my hair cut but, as usual, I proved them wrong. I didn't mind at all. I liked sitting in the jeep seat and talking on the elmo phone that was there. Ms. Judy (who cut my hair) did a great job of letting me see what the clippers were and feeling them buzz before she used them on my hair so that helped me not to be scared of them. At the end she put some "product" in my hair so I could be just like Dad. What do you think of my new do?

Wanna go for a ride on the boat?

Mom and Dad celebrated their anniversary a couple weeks ago (did you know that? three years!) and to give them a night off Ms. Laura offered to watch me for the night. Ms. Laura is the mom of my very best bud at school, Jackson, which means that Jackson and I got to have our very first sleep over! 

We thought it was so cool to get to ride in the car together after school and go to dinner together. Jackson and I did a great job at our first sleep over and the next morning when Mom and Dad came to pick me up we all went out on Jackson's family's boat. I had never been on a boat before and it took me a little while to get my sea legs but we had a great time. Thank you Ms. Laura, Mr. Gary and Jackson for letting me come play at your house. We had a great time hanging out on the boat too!

Life's a Beach

And boy do I love the beach. Our family had a great time on our annual trip to the beach. I especially loved playing in the sand and standing at the water line while the waves poured over my feet. Mom even surprised us all by showing up when Dad and I thought she was going to be working the whole week! 

Unfortunately, I woke up on Friday morning with an ear infection. I've been working ever since to get better but it's been a tough one. It looks like I'm finally on the mend, however, and I'm going to go back to school tomorrow. When I get there, I'll have lots of great beach stories to tell my friends!

Congratulations to Uncle Jason & Aunt Cathy who got engaged at the beach this week! Our family is so happy for you and we can't wait to be there for your big day!
