Vinyl

No, not vinyl as in records. We're talking wall vinyl. When we moved Max to his new big boy bed, there was a big blank space left on the wall where his crib had been. We found these great airplanes on Etsy (have I mentioned how much I love Etsy?) and today I finally got around to putting them up.

I love them.

Last reunion post

First, a picture of the "red circle," except unfortunately missing Everett, the head of the red circle because he had already left that day:

Finally, some pictures of Max and his Yia Yia, Papou, and Clailin (as he says it). They are all at the beach right now without me. Jerks.

Family Reunion

We spent this weekend in Minnesota for the Henrickson Family Reunion, which is Adam's mom's family. The reunion gathers the families of eight brothers and sisters (including Adam's grandfather--the Everett in McKinley Everett) and this year that totaled almost 200 people! Since the reunion only happens once every five years it is a pretty big deal and always great fun. We had so much fun relaxing on the lake and then partying it up with friends and family we had not seen for far too long. Of course, we really loved showing Max off, too!

Check out some of the fun we had on the lake and I'll post a few more pictures later this week:

Big News!

I am so excited to bring big news to Max's blog! (No, we're not having a baby.) I am officially taking the plunge and opening Kathryn Shores Photography as a part-time venture. Go on over to Kathryn Shores Photography to check it out!

Don't worry. We will still be keeping up Max's blog for all of you on Team Max. In fact, what is a blog post without a picture? Before you head over to the new blog site, check out these snaps of Max with his new Thomas case (thanks Ms. Dorothy and Maria) and his new fishing pole:

Overheard:

"Max, a sweet potato is a vegetable, not a football. Please don't throw it."

Happy Independence Day!

We hope everyone has a great time celebrating our country and the men and women who laid the foundation for the lives we enjoy today! What an extraordinary thing it is to be Americans!

This weekend I have been talking with Max about the 4th of July. Mostly, he just knows fireworks and watermelon (and lots of it), but hopefully some of the more important stuff will stick too. We've been talking about independence and what it means to be independent. We made a list of some of the things Max can do independently, like go up and down the stairs, ride his tricycle, and put his crocs on. Isn't he a big, independent boy?

Hope everyone has a great Fourth of July!

Dum Dum Da-Deeeee (Pa-art Threee!)

(Get it? Yeah, I'm a dork.)

I'm sure Jason & Cathy have been wondering if I am ever going to post Part Three of their sneak peek. Sorry for the delay guys! I'm just popping in to share a few more of the happy couple and a storyboard. As you may have guessed, my favorite subjects to photograph are children. So it only makes sense that one of my favorite things to photograph at the wedding was all the kids partying it up and I thought I'd share a little storyboard of the party animals!
