If You're Santa and You Know It....

Say Ho! Ho!

Last week, Max sang in his school's holiday concert. Along with his classmates, he sang that all-time Christmas classic, "If You're Santa and You Know It, Say Ho Ho" followed up by the second verse, "If You're Rudolph and You Know It, Beep Your Nose." They finished up with a little Jingle Bells, too.

Max did so well! He sang every word and sang so loud that Chicken Nugget (the class fish) could hear him all the way across the center. He even gave his mom a little shout out from stage :-)

I've got a video that I will try to get up soon, but here are some pictures to begin with:

Mommy's Helper

Max wanted to help me out and played the role of test subject while I was setting up for a shoot last weekend. Didn't he do a nice job?

Halloween

I am so neglecting this blog lately. Partly because I am so busy with the "biz" and partly because I share most of the same stuff on facebook. But I know not all of you are on the facebook bandwagon, so I promise to try to update this more often. Here are some favorites from halloween:

We're all about the videos these days here on Maxaroni (and Cheese). This one's about two minutes long, but well worth your time.

Apple Time

It seems every year I have some post about  us chowing down on apples in the fall. This year, not to be outdone, we went out and picked the apples ourselves. Max's favorite part was getting to eat the apple right there in the orchard. Since then he's enjoyed another apple and some homemade applesauce. The boy's gonna turn into an apple pretty soon. There are several more pictures over on the KSP Blog too!

Sounds from the Farm

(Sorry for the poor quality. I've lost (actually Max has lost) the point & shoot camera I usually use for video, so this was taken on my cell phone.

GOAL!!!!

Max just loves all things sports. Consequently, I was beyond excited when I found out that our park district offers a soccer class for two-year-olds. Today was Max's first class and he had such a BLAST! Seriously, I've rarely seen him so excited as he was to be running around that gym kicking around the soccer ball. Probably has something to do with being allowed to run around non-stop and kick things. Soccer class for 30 two-year-olds is about what you would imagine it to be (think cats, herded), but boy what fun!

Under the Bean

Grandpa Al and Grandma Gail are here to visit this weekend. We took the train into the city today and "saw the sights." Max had such a blast playing in Millenium Park. One of his favorites was checking himself out in the "bean." I got in on the action, too.

Summer

Summer is coming to a close here in Illinois, but this weekend we soaked up just a bit more of it out on the front steps with some sidewalk chalk and some laughs. Notice the "cheese face" that is becoming a Max staple.

Goofing off:

Checking out the damage:

Somehow, it always ends up being me drawing and Max telling me what to draw:

Hey, I DO exist!:

Max took this one:

Grammie and the Zoo

Hey that sounds like the title of a children's book! But it's not. Just the title of our weekend. Grammie came up to see us for her birthday (wasn't that nice of her?), and we had a lot of fun. We have been planning to take Max to the zoo all summer but the weather or road trips or whatever kept getting in the way. But we finally made it happen this weekend! Max was feeling a little under the weather but he still enjoyed it (except that there are no elephants at Lincoln Park Zoo! What?!?!)

Max at the zoo:

We saw this guy:

Max really liked these guys:

I really liked this guy. "Hey, how you doin?"

That night we celebrated Grammie's birthday:

Thanks for coming to visit and sharing your birthday with us, Grammie!
